Course on technical materials by AITEX

The Textile Industry Research Association (AITEX) will carry out a course on technical materials applied on working uniforms and individual protection accessories.

The Spanish Textile Industry Research Association (AITEX) conducts a course on technical materials applied to clothing and accessories for individual protection. In the last decades, a part of the Valencian and Spanish textile industry has fostered R & D on technical materials, in order to offer specialised products adapted to a new type of demand. The managers of AITEX have explained that the course has a double objective: on the one hand, to make known the characteristics of the materials with which design properly personal protective equipment (PPE). It should be remembered that these equipments must cover the risks that are often faced by worker, whatever their specialty is, and must accomplish with current legislation. On the other hand, the course will also inform those who take part in it the normative and the methodology of the tests that make possible to understand the use of the materials and their possible application to the design of certain equipments.

The course will take 34 hours distributed in 18 videoconference sessions and 16 hours of practical sessions at the AITEX offices in Alcoy (Plaza Emilio Sala, 1).
